Beige and White Casual Spring Look

We FINALLY had some good weather this past weekend so I broke out my favorite pair of white jeans and I had myself a nice Sunday hanging around Westchester with Andrew. I even broke out the new velcro sneakers *gasp*

But as you can tell, I did something a little crazy and got velcro sneakers. Sarah is the main problem for this but god love her, I think she's on to something here. I love these shoes! They look so expensive/designer but they're under $90! I'm also totally digging the vibe they're giving off, I feel too cool for school.
I know this totally goes against my normal style of the classic preppy look, but I think I did a pretty good job at integrating it into an outfit that fits with my style. I mean you would really never even know they were truly velcro and also, so what if you do! You either love them or hate them, but I think they're going to be big soon!
Isn't it so crazy that everything we loved as a child in the 90's is coming back into style? I saw a model the other day wearing a t-shirt with a silk night gown over it. I mean that is SO 90's -- and the chokers, they're back! While I can't really see myself wearing any of those, I'm all for the velcro shoes at the moment. Sometimes you have to *step* outside the box...
