New York City Heart Wall

Happy Monday! Today I'm so happy to share not only a new hair cut (bye bye 3 inches) but also this amazing heart wall. I've wanted to shoot at this place for so long. Today is the day!

New York has no shortage of really beautiful wall murals and this is one of them! This heart wall is in the heart of the East Village on 1st Street between 1st and 2nd Ave (closer to 2nd Ave). It's between two buildings in a little "park." I'm using that term loosely because there's no grass, just a lot of street art and concrete.

We went around 1pm and the lighting was fine. Andrew was in the sun but the mural was in enough shade that I could take pictures without a problem. It was also super easy because there was no one around and no other distractions. We were in and out in a flash!

As for my outfit, I knew I wanted something bright and colorful to pair with such a killer wall. I bought this dress for some spring weddings or other formal events I may have this year. It's the prettiest color and is made with a really heavy material so you know it's made well.

I also cut my hair! This is the first time in a long time that I actually got a cut within six months of the last. Usually I just forget and my hair grows SO long that I just chop it all off. I really enjoyed my hair short and I felt like doing it again! This was my first time curling it so I went a little heavy but the next day curls with this hair cut looked AMAZING. So I need to learn how to recreate that soon!
