I haven't done an Instagram roundup in the longgesssttt time so I thought what better day than today! You can always shop my instagrams via the app through LikeToKnow. It for the months I forget to do a round up (my b).
I told you it would be a quick turnaround for this shirt! I wore it last weekend and the weekend before and I'm not sorry about it. I will probably even wear it to work tomorrow, so ... yolo.
Anyway, like I mentioned in this post, Andrew and I played tourist last weekend and rented bikes to ride up and down the West Side Highway. OH MY GOSH was it so so so beautiful.
I've always lived on the west side (#WestSideBestSide) and loved driving up and down the water but it was a whole new ballgame biking the path. Did you know the bike path goes all the way around the city?
We rode from the bike rental shop (which is amazing and you should check them out) in the West Village down to Battery Park and back up into the 40s (the only people that will understand that sentence are people who live in the city).
I seriously had the very best time and it makes me want my own bike so much more! I think I would take it out every day if I could. I should really look into that...
It was also the most perfect day out so that really helped as well. I wish I could have just taken you all with me so you could understand how special the adventure was! If you're ever in the city, make it a priority to ride bikes up and down the west side.
IF you're still with me after my ranting and raving about the bike ride, welcome and thanks. Now onto the outfit. I wanted something casual and spring-y and these gingham shorts did not disappoint!
They're super lightweight and airy which was so clutch when riding. And I've never, ever been one to wear orange but I think these totally suit me. What do we think?
It is officially my favorite time in the city, SUMMER! New York really has two seasons: hot and cold. As long as it’s not cold, I’m happy. NYC is an outdoor city with so many fun and exciting things to do that when it gets warm I just want to do them all.
This past weekend Andrew and I rode bikes, had lunch on a boat, roamed around the city and took a stroll in Central Park. I was pooped but man was it fun. This weather just has me so excited!
This outfit is a little different because it’s featured in small snapshots of me throughout the city -- picking up flowers, hanging out in the West Village and watching the sunset over the water in the park. It was a simple Saturday.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is nothing I love more than a crisp white shirt and denim. It will forever scream classic and casual and is perfect for all occasions.
This summer I've found I'm really into two things: collared shirts and scarfs. This collared shirt is at the top of my list because of its cuteness (it zips up and down) and the price tag (coming in at $48). And this scarf is the best because of its softness and versatility (it's also just $13 so that helps too).
I've worn this outfit this past weekend and the weekend before and I'm sure I'll wear it again sometime soon. It's just so easy to throw on a go. Annnd this won't be the last time you see this shirt (ahem, like here).
ALSO, have to give a nice shoutout to my new sunnies (guys I have a problem, I know). But these are just $25 and I couldn't say no! #sendhelp
SHOP MY LOOK HERE:
Oh... and there's this. Thanks Andrew for capturing me at my best.
It has taken me quite a while to find a midi dress that I actually like. They’ve just never looked really good on my body and I never knew why. BUT I knew before I bought this dress that I like white dresses and anything with lace.
I think adding some fun heels really help with the overall look of the midi dress. This way my legs don’t look so cut off. Plus these heels are my new favorite. They’re New York approved (they’re comfortable enough to walk a mile or two).
I’m also debuting my new sunglasses. I’m still a little iffy on them but I think with the right look, I really like them! What do we think?
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Anyone have exciting plans? I think I’m going to play tourist in NYC this weekend. Should be a good time.
It's officially summertime and you know what that means ... LOTS of summer weddings. As a good friend and stylish guest, I thought I would pick out some wonderful dresses for you to wear on your friend's big day.
This dress is of course my favorite. It's simple, conservative, airy and it screams summer. My number one rule for dressing for weddings (besides "don't wear white") is to keep it simple. No fuss, nothing loud and always classic.
ALSO, side note, wedding dresses and graduation dresses are easily interchangeable. They're around the same level of style and dress. So if you see yourself more at a graduation than a wedding, this dress is also perfect for it too!
