Sometimes a sweater is just so cute you pair it with jean shorts and call it a day. Here's to hoping summer stays forever but fall comes soon!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate in between seasons. I'm excited for fall to start and I'm sad summer is coming to an end but as a blogger and a shopper this in between time drives me cray cray.

I have no idea what to wear or really what to buy -- I don't need to spend any more money on summer clothes that are going to last only a little while longer and while I want to buy new things for fall I can't really wear them until the weather changes. The struggle, you know?

On top of that Andrew and I leave for Italy on Saturday and I need to curate a wardrobe that fits in with this in-between seasons idea. Something that I can wear now but also later in the fall. So thought I could share a few items (I will be doing a little haul on IG stories today) that are new to the cast:

From J. Crew Factory (they have AMAZING items right now) PS everything is 50% off:

From Lilly (c/o):
From Tuckernuck (c/o):

From Vineyard Vines (c/o):

I'm back with yet another navy/blue/gingham outfit. Can you believe it's been since JUNE that I've worn gingham on the blog?! Where has the time gone?

SHOP MY LOOK HERE:

J. Crew: Gingham Blazer (on sale for $65) / Halogen: Cotton Shell (sold out; identical HERE) / J. Crew: Leather Mini Skirt (also comes in a midi) last worn HERE Sam Edelman: Yaro Sandal Nordstrom: Pearl Earrings RayBan: Wayfarer Sunglasses / BabubleBar: Mini Monogram Necklace

I was going to link back to the last time I wore this blazer on the blog and then realized I had never worn it! That is CRAZY to me because I wear this jacket all the time. It got me thinking that some of my best outfits don't seem to make it to the blog because they're older and more than likely sold out, which of course is a bummer for you and me.

But I am working hard to start documenting my work outfits. I feel like a majority of the girls who read this blog are also working women so my plan is to start featuring more "wear-to-work" looks. Even though my office is the MOST casual place ever, I still tend to dress more business casual.

While I've never featured this gingham blazer specifically, I have featured THIS navy gingham blazer on the blog (yes, I own two) and I wore this skirt in a post not too long ago. I love skirts the most out of anything in my closet and when you find a good one like this leather pleated skirt you hold on for dear life and buy it in every color :)

What's not to love? It fits perfectly, it goes with a ton of things, great for summer AND fall and is unique enough that it's worth the price tag. I personally think everyone needs one!

P.S. I created a new tag for everyone to look through. My Wear to Work outfits if you want them all in one place!

Happy Friday! Sorry I've kind of been meh and MIA over here and on Instagram lately. To be honest I'm just burned out and uninspired right now with the blog. This time of year (between summer and fall) always seems to be the hardest for me, but as always, it will pass and we'll be back to regularly scheduled programing! I hope everyone had a great week. See more about my week below and get details on the above image HERE.

Shopping: Didn't shop this week because I'm trying to gear up for Monday. What's on Monday you ask? Sneak a peek HERE!!

Reading: I'm about half way through The Vanishing Year by Kate Moretti and it's good but nothing has happened yet and the suspense is kind of killing me. The book is labeled as a thriller so I'm just patiently waiting keeping my guard up about everything. Gah!

NYC Life: I went to two yoga classes this week that the gym in my building offered (for free!) one was on the roof deck the other night and it was so much fun. I think I'm all in on yoga now! It helps having Andrew around with me because I'm not as scared to go alone!!

Weekend Plans: We're heading to Disney!! We'll be there tonight through Monday and to say Andrew is excited is an understatement of the century. He's basically counting down the hours until we can ride Splash Mountain. It should be a really fun weekend. Take a nice break :)

Most Popular Item This Week: This eyelet skirt (that is on sale!) I actually wore it to work yesterday and got a ton of compliments on it. Perfect for the last few weeks of summer!

Favorite Finds:
I usually don't love one shoulder dresses but this one is SO CUTE!
Need my baby niece around ASAP so we can match in this print
StriVectin best sellers collection -- really great value!!
Theses look identical to the Gucci ones!

A Must Read: The girls at work just started a book club and we decided on Ruth Ware's new book The Lying Game and I'm really excited to start it!

A Must Watch: Drink with James -- I love this series but I thought this one was really interesting when he talked about bloggers and unboxing PR packages!

Amazon Purchases:

GUYS IT'S HERE!!! Well... almost :) The BEST sale of the year aka the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is on MONDAY and I'm sharing everything you need to know below!
I'd like to think I am quite the pro at shopping the Lilly sale and with that I wanted to share my personal tips and tricks for making the most of it!

----------

Create an account + Login before the sale:
This is THE most important thing!! Creating an account is crucial to the After Party Sale process and creating an account now will save you time (and probably a few dresses) come Monday. You can create an account HERE.

Pro tip: When you login, be sure to add your shipping and credit card information for quick and easy shopping. Things go SO quickly you really don't want to miss out. This also goes for girls with an existing account: UPDATE everything!
*Remember to sign in on Sunday before the site goes down! The next time you'll be able to get in is after you are through the virtual line...
Virtual Line Process:
Basically it's first-come-first-serve to the site and it puts you in a line to shop. It keeps the site from crashing like in years past! So refresh until you get put in the line at 8am ET but here's an *IMPORTANT TIP* when the page changes over at 8am DO NOT REFRESH YOUR PAGE!

I learned this one the hard way because I kept refreshing but didn't know I was already in the line. Once you are in the line stay there. Refreshing will make it so you're placed in the back of the line every time. #UGH

And with that, I suggest you read up on all the FAQ from the Lilly Pulitzer page. They have a TON of great information and really important things to know on there. It's a huge help and will seriously answer all of your questions about the sale on Monday.

Know and Refine Your Size:
This is like my favorite trick in the book and one I suggest every year. Refine by your size so you know ahead of time if it's still in stock or not. No use wasting your time on items that are gone!

I've worn Lilly for years and can safely say it's pretty TTS. I'm a 6/M in tops and an 8 in bottoms. If you still are unsure about your size Lilly has a great technology called True Fit and can recommend your size based on a super short survey. You can check it out HERE.
Check Out Once:
Once you're in the sale, you're in so make sure to only check out once. Once you've checked out you're put back at the end of the line and then will have to wait again. So be sure to shop quickly and check out slow if that makes any sense. It's always seemed to work for me!
Also Lilly seems to add new items throughout the day so be sure to check back every so often to see what's still for sale!

You know those products that make your world go round? That's what we're talking about today. I mean there are actually a ton more but currently, this month, these are the things keeping me above water and happy. Ya feel?

1. Daily SPF + Moisturizer - I know I've mentioned it a few times already on the blog but it's 110% worth brining it up again. I struggled for so long finding a daily SPF that wouldn't break me out (very sensitive skin over here) and I've been using this for close to a year now with zero problems. Plus protecting your face from the sun is SO important!

2. Computer Glasses - I talked about them in THIS post but wanted to update you guys as I've been wearing them for about three weeks now. They are life changing! Haven't had a headache since using them and I feel like I'm so much more relaxed when they are on (see them on HERE) -- not to mention they look pretty cute on!

3. Nars Creamy Concealer - I wasn't really in the market for a new concealer but this came in a travel size and I needed to hit a minimum in my cart so I threw this in. I wear the shade vanilla and I've honestly never had a better matching concealer. Not to mention it works SO well and covering up everything -- very full coverage without being too heavy. I'm not wearing foundation in the photos above, just this concealer!

4. iPhone + Watch Charger - This was a bit of a splurge when I bought it but I have used it overnight since so I guess I'm getting my moneys worth. I think it's a necessity to have if you own an apple watch. It's great to just have an all in one charger and a cute stand!

5. Cake and Bake Beauty Sponge - I watch way too many YouTube videos for my own good and saw a lot of people using this new beauty sponge. I was intrigued but now I'm obsessed. Haven't stopped using for a month! You'd be surprised at just how useful this is!

6.  Trader Joes Peanut Butter Pretzels - Andrew's parents had these at his house and I would always eat them when I was over. So I thought to track down a bag (thank god for Amazon) and now I have them on content reorder. They are the perfect little snack!

7. Sweet Spot Wipes (blog review here) - I first got these as a part of a sponsored activation last year but am now on my third pack and bring them everywhere I go! I still ride my bike constantly to and from work and can just get sweaty or gross -- especially in the summer. These are just the perfect little wipes to throw in your bag and use when you need. I also love them for traveling for when you feel gross.

8. Blue and White Dinnerware - I was lucky enough to find these plates at TJ Maxx last time I was home and fell hopelessly in love with this dinnerware set. It is just the most beautiful print and color -- the plate almost looked scallop which I think I love the most. They also clean off really easy which makes me happy haha.

9. Wacoal Bralette - If you guys remember my bras post then you'll remember how I actually couldn't find a barlette that I liked for a while. Lucky me, Wacoal saw the post and sent me some bras to try out! I actually ended up loving everything they sent but especially THIS bralette -- it's not the most supportive but it just is so beautiful and easy to wear!

10. Nude Slides - (see them worn HERE, HERE and HERE) To be honest I kind of bought these slides on a whim and boy am I happy I did! I LOVE the way they make my legs look longer and leaner. I wear them all the time to work and around the city and they've held up pretty well. I can wear them all day long and my feet don't hurt so that's also a huge win!

And that's it! I hope you guys like this post and if you did, let me know and I can do more! I've been kind of meh lately about some posts so I'm trying to get out of this funk!

I'm pretty lucky that my office is so casual when it comes to attire. Guys can wear t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers. But sometimes I think it's fun to just throw on a cute blazer and "dress up."

SHOP MY LOOK HERE:

Wallis: Belle Sleeve Jacket (also comes in black) / Halogen: Sleeveless Sweater / AG: Raw Hem Skinny Jeans / Sam Edelman: Yaro Sandal Louis Vuitton: Neverfull GM RayBan: Wayfarer Sunglasses BabubleBar: Mini Monogram Necklace Nordstrom: Pearl Earrings

When I first saw this blazer I knew how amazing it was. It looks so chic and expensive, but in reality it's pretty affordable for work wear! I LOVE the sleeves on it and while I'm not totally a pink person the color is just to die for; so casual yet sophisticated.

When I shop for clothes (because my office is so lax) the only things I buy have to be able to to be worn to work. This isn't ideal for my going-out wardrobe, but what are you going to do? I get the most use out of items I can wear over the weekend but also in the office. This jacket is one of them.

I can totally see myself pairing it with a dress or a light tank and skirt. I feel like the bell-sleeve trend is pretty much over but this jacket does it in such a simple way it totally works! As I'm linking it up now I'm seeing that it also comes in black. That's huge for fall and winter! You can never have enough black blazers.
