NYC Restaurant Guide: The Meatball Shop
Wednesday, October 7, 2015One of my favorite places in Chelsea is The Meatball Shop. It holds a lot of special memories for me for a variety of reasons but also has some really, really good food (why I keep coming back)! Who knew I would like meatballs so much.
The menu is relatively simple and you really just mark down what you want and hand it over to your waiter to confirm but I always seem to get the same thing... #creatureofhabit. I get the chicken meatballs on a hero with pesto and mozzarella. UM YUM!
For the most part, they serve different variations of meatballs (surprising I know) so if you're not into that, this place probably isn't for you. But everyone that I have taken there has loved it so far and has always left feeling very full.
They have SIX locations: Chelsea, West Village, Upper East and West Side, the Lower East Side and Williamsburg. I can imagine they're all about the same type of style (which is so cool, btw) but I can only speak for the Chelsea location.
The service is quick and the people are nice. A bonus (for the collector of all things) is they have matchbooks! I love when restaurants have them. I don't know why but they're just so cool to me.
