Wednesday, September 2, 2015Who is ready for a touristy post surely to blow your mind? Obviously not actually blow your mind but it would be fun to think it was that special, right? Let's jump on in!

The day started with a ride on the cable car. I mean, what is a trip to SF without a ride on this bad boy? We rode it from the first stop to the last and found ourselves hungry for food and at Fisherman's Wharf.
My friend the night before had told us about The Buena Vista and how it's known for being the "home" of the Irish Coffee. So we decided to check the place out for brunch. The food was very delicious and the Irish Coffee was the best I've ever had. And that says a lot coming from a girl who tried her first Irish Coffee in Dublin! Even more so coming from a girl who doesn't like coffee haha.
While I feel like it's a little hole in the wall, it's actually a famous SF spot and if you're ever in the area I would definitely put this on your list of things to do!
After brunch we walked around the Wharf and just enjoyed the day. We stopped to see the sea lions, check out Alcatraz from afar and everything in between. We even met the bush man! If you don't know about him, be sure to check it out. Best idea ever.
In all honesty I was a little underwhelmed and disappointed by Fisherman's Wharf. It was so touristy and reminded me a lot of Times Square. It was something I'm glad a went to see, but not anything I'll go back for!
After we were done walking around, we made a little stop at Ghirardelli Square and had some chocolate :)
Next stop was Lombard Street! This was one of my favorite stops during our entire trip. I know it's super touristy but I was so excited to finally see it. It's just so crazy to me that this street was built, that houses were built on it AND that people actually live there! Can you imagine people in your yard all the time?
We had just missed the peak of the hydrangeas and most of them where dead but the whole street was so very beautiful. I also fell in love with this blue house below. I waited for 20 minutes to get this shot with no one in it. It was totally worth it!
After Lombard Street we walked around some more and found our way back to the hotel to rest up for dinner at Waterbar which will be tomorrow's post! In the meantime you can check out (and shop) what I wore here.
