As you know by now, I spent Labor Day weekend in Saratoga. I was invited to Saratoga Race Course with Katie and the boys, and since we didn't have any plans for the weekend, we decided to take advantage of the offer. We found a great house on a lake (see below), which was the perfect little getaway. The lake was always so quiet and really breathtaking!

We got in Friday night and on Saturday morning we went to the track. You can see more of what I wore here and Andrew here

If you've been following along for a while, you'll remember I went to Saratoga for the first time last year. Going to the University of Kentucky made me fall in love with horse racing and since I'm not around it every weekend, I'll never turn down a chance to go to the track in New York. What's awesome is Andrew and I started the summer off at Derby and ended it in Saratoga. Sounds like a pretty good summer to me!

Just like last year, I spent the day at the track with America's Best Racing. They really pulled out all the stops for the day. After a wonderful brunch and a killer bloody mary bar at Fasig-Tipton, we walked over to our luxury suites. This was the coolest way to watch the races. It was a two-story suite on the first turn with an air conditioned room on the main level and a covered rooftop on the top level. America's Best Racing also gave us some money to bet with which I turned into a pretty good sum. Of course I had nothing to lose, so I bet all my earnings on the last race (on a long shot) and came away with $11. I looked at it as a win-win.

Saturday was a perfect day for the races, but Sunday was a little shotty. It was raining on and off all day but we still found time to go out on the water. The rainy day was forgiven, though when the sky started to clear and we were able to catch this amazing sunset.

After enjoying the sunset, we cooked s'mores, played some card games and went to bed. And that was it! Quick, but really fun weekend.
