Every so often, I'll post work looks on the blog. I think it's good to sometimes change it up and show the other side of my life. Sure, I work in baseball and never actually need to wear this to work, but sometimes I like to look nice. I think layering brings a more polished feel to any look. It also brings an opportunity to have some fun with colors and accessories. I thought the blue color in the oxford and the green of my new J. Crew Factory dress paired perfectly together. Funny enough, I wanted to wear my white oxford, but it was at the cleaners and so I ended up (thankfully) with this one! I thought it worked out pretty well.

How lame does it make me if I say I'm "mad for plaid?" If you're cool with it, I'm cool with it. Black watch plaid, which I also say is tartan (yolo if I'm blatantly wrong), has been popping up all over my radar recently. It started with blazers, then it moved onto pants (which I don't think my butt can fit into) to dresses. Although, I am eyeing those loafers! Anyway, I love the print. It's great for winter and I can see it going so well with a good cream cable knit sweater. I might have snatched up this Ralph Lauren dress as I was writing this post so you might see it on the blog next week!

First off, thanks for all the love on this outfit! I love how when you have some random time with your closet, you can make something wonderful. I had just gotten this flannel shirt, which I l-o-v-e, from LL Bean and I was trying to find a new way to wear it. I had actually tried on a few other sweaters before I pulled this one out of the back of the closet. I love finding old treasures (and by old I mean a year old) in the winter part of my back closet. So with the shirt and sweater combo, I ventured on to my skirts. I'm not quite sure why but I love to wear them out of season. I think it has something to do with me not wanting to wear pants all the time, but I never seem to mind it. As long as my upper body is good, I'm good to go.

If you read this post yesterday, I talked about how flannel is my go-to in the winter. I've usually found my way to the J. Crew flannels, but this year (and forever going forward) I'm jumping ship to LL Bean.  Let me tell you why you should join me. One, they have amazing quality clothing and it shows in these flannels. Two, the color options are top notch. Three, the price. Hello under $40! I currently own two, but I have more on the way so this won't be the last you see of this flannel!

After the Marathon yesterday, I found myself checking out C. Wonder in Columbus Circle. It's always so dangerous when I go into that store let me tell you. They literally have everything I never thought I needed haha. Don't you love/hate that problem? Not only did they have the cutest little home goodies but their clothes and shoe selection was on point! Might have left with a few goodies, but you'll have to check back later this week to see what I got :)

As I start to transition my closet to fall and winter, I'm seeing flannels are a major trend. I totally forgot about them over summer (obviously) and forgot I had so many in the closet! My favorite ones are usually from LL Bean or J. Crew Factory, but I'm starting to see some great finds at places like Nordstrom, Gap and Old Navy (especially for lower priced items).

1. Have you noticed that I'm posting twice a day now? I like to create graphics (like this sneakers one or this leather leggings one) because they're easy to make and fun to post about. But do you guys like them? I know they're a little different!

2. My Tory Burch passport holder came in this week and I'm already itching to use it in December for our trip!

3. I've been using this Origins under-eye cream for about a month now and I see a major difference! I also love that it has a shimmer to it, brightening your under-eye right away.
