Links for everything are below each image and I wanted to put them in one big blog post so you could have them all in one place (it's how I like to shop too). I hope you enjoy and can find something for everyone on your list!

Ice Skating in Central Park, NYC ice skating, NYC Winter activities, Covering the Bases, Krista Robertson, Winter Fashion, NYC Winter Wear, Wollerman Rink NYC

I'm just going to come out and say it: I secretly love ice skating. I'm sooooo bad at it but I seriously love doing it. I'll do it multiple times a year and fall every single time but I just love it anyway.

You may remember alllll the way back to last year when I went ice skating in Central Park for the first time. Andrew and I did have the best time (as I was latched to his arm every lap). I also think we went ice skating a couple of weeks before in Meatpacking. So we had some practice but really not much.

This year while my sister was in town I really wanted to take her to the Bryant Park skating rink. One - because I'd never been there and two - because it's a really fun place to be for the holidays. We decided on Central Park instead though because we were closer and it is much much bigger.

There were a lot of people but since the rink is so big it wasn't really a problem. It is really expensive though so beware! You pay to skate, for the locker AND for the skates. I think it was like almost $100 for the three of us. And they only accept cash!

When I went skating in Bryant Park last weekend with Lucy and Tyler, I found it was much cheaper. You only had to pay for skates and you also get a discount if you have a BofA card! I also thought the ice was easier to skate on but it was more crowded. So the choice is yours!

There are rinks all over the city and what I especially love is that they are around even after Christmas! So be sure to stop by if you're in the city!

Funny sidenote before we pop into this blog post -- it's been three years and I had yet to shoot in Washington Square Park. I've always wanted to but it for some reason or another never worked out. Glad I can check it off my photo bucket list!

Trouve: Feather Trim Tank Top / Lysse: Faux Leather Leggings / Kate Spade: Red Coat (similar) / Manolo Blahnik: Black Heels / Tuckernuck: Gold Drop Earrings (similar) / BaubleBar: Mini Monogram Necklace

If you remember last week, I talked about how I rarely ever wear and all black outfit. I'm just not one of those girls. I love color all year round but sometimes you have to mix it up. Step out of the comfort zone and into some leather leggings (which are the BEST btw).

I told you before (and a again) that I love feather items for the holidays. First it was this dress and then the top -- my love for feathers will just not end. This top is a favorite of the bunch because it's so simple and priced well. You can wear it with jeans, leggings, a skirt -- really whatever! It's super versatile.

Also a big bummer these earrings are out of stock, I love them! I found ones that are just as cute and semi similar from BaubleBar so I hope you enjoy!

NYC Christmas Tree Shopping

Another week, another fun Christmas activity to do in the city. I know I already have a Christmas tree, but I just can't resist walking around the amazing tree shops in the city! I may have just stumbled upon the best one too...

I found the cutest place to get your festive on in the city and it's SoHo Trees. They have a ton of locations, but Soho Square is their biggest. They have SO many trees, wreaths and cute little reindeer logs. What is not to love?

This look is a little funny if you think back. First off, I got my hair cut (several of them -- shoutout to my dad) last week and today is the first time I'm showing it off for the blog. I cut off five inches and I love it! I hadn't cut it since March and I thought it was about time...

I also got a big chop right before the holidays last year and debuted it on the blog around this time. What you might not remember was the outfit I wore was eerily similar to this one. Red blazer, feather top, Christmas time...

What a crazy coincidence right???

Well this was my most popular fashion post last year (by the numbers) so hopefully you like version 2.0! The top is much more feathery, and it comes in two colors! I love the blush pink because I had already bought a black feathered one (which will be on the blog this week). But also because the blush is great for a ton of different occasions. It doesn't hurt that it has Olivia Palermo's stamp of approval

Everyone knows the Plaza is one of the best places in the city and a prime stop during the holiday season. But do you know why? I'm sharing our fun girl's pamper day at the Plaza to show you around!

You've seen their amazing holiday decor (and trees!) before in last year's NYC Christmas round-up, but what is there actually to do there? Everything.

The Plaza is truly a one-of-a-kind place that makes you feel so special and really is the place to get pampered. During our (Lauren & Lauren) stay, we had lunch at The Todd English Food Hall and -- omg -- was it amazing. We basically got one of everything to split and had the very best time. The food was so well-prepared and made it hard to stop eating it all (even after you were full)!

After that, we shot photos around the hotel, explored and snuggled up in some robes and hung out in bed. I could spend all day doing that if I could! The hotel view was also to die for. It peeked right over the park and it was perfect timing with all of the fall foliage.

After relaxing some, we had a late tea time at The Palm Court. If you have not done this be sure to add it to your list. It is one of the most amazing experiences in the city. The room is so beautiful, the little bites are almost too cute to eat (almost) and it's so fun!

We just so happened to get all the little bites and a nice bottle of rose. That's a recipe for a perfect afternoon tea to me!

I could live at The Plaza (I mean, who couldn't) I just love it so much. So make sure to add it to your list if you're ever in the city (especially around the holidays)!
