Most unique: Signature necklace - I love the idea of this necklace. It turns your signature into an acrylic necklace. Not only is this perfect for friends but also for your parents. They always love those personal items and this is a great one!

Best under $100: Ugg tech gloves are such a fun (and stylish) way to keep warm this winter. I also never wear gloves that aren't touch screen! They're a must. 

Best under $50: Bottle cap display - I think this is my favorite part of the gift guide because it's just so different. Anyone who loves beer will love this gift!

Best under $25: Simple pleasures book - This is for sure something my mom gives my sister and I. Just a fun and random book that is pretty helpful!

Gift Guide: Under $100

Living Proof PhD (Review)

As you guys already know, I'm the worst when it comes to deciding on hair products. There's a certain way I like my hair to look and feel and I'm SO picky about it! Weelllll I have good news-- I think I've found something I love. (woo)

Living Proof gifted me some products to try for a few weeks to see what I thought. I had always heard good things but it just seemed I never took the plunge. And now that I have... well let's just say I think we're together for life.

After playing around with their product selector tool, I decided to go with the Perfect hair Day (PhD) line. I have pretty (what I think) normal hair-- not colored, straight, thin (but a lot of it so kind of thick) and oily. I never really struggle with frizz or any major damage problems so I thought (and so did the selector tool) that PhD was the best fit for me.

I grabbed a couple of items... my favorite being the travel size PhD set and the dry shampoo (in travel and regular size). Everything smells so good and it really cleans my hair well. The one thing I did wish was that it made the oily stage stay away longer but after everything I've tried, I just don't think that it's in the cards for me. 

Y'all know I love me some dry shampoo though... lets be real. Well this has the new #1 spot in my rotation of dry shampoo. It gives great coverage without leaving behind any weird texture or product. I'm so so picky about how my hair feels it's weird. I guess since I'm constantly running my hair through it I need it to be a certain way. And with this stuff my 2 day old hair feels totally normal (and still so soft!)

Oh... and you might have noticed a little snip snip of the hair! Say hello to the 5 inch shorter hair Krista. I love it!

What to Wear Christmas Tree Shopping

Has anyone else gone Christmas tree shopping this year? I've already been to two farms this year and still only own a mini pre-lit faux tree. Go figure...

When I was in Charlotte this past week, Caitlin and I decided to drive up into the mountains in search of a true Christmas tree farm. We found the cutest place up in Little Switzerland. It was closed for the day but the owner (who was so sweet) let us wander around and snap some photos.

Caitlin and I both ended up wearing our red Hunter boots for the adventure and thank goodness we did! The ground was so soft and mushy that we were dragging dirt all over the place (just like my last fir farm adventure). Other than that, it was the most perfect day. There were no clouds in the sky and a brisk, crisp air. My flannel shirt and cashmere scarf were exactly what I needed!

Today I'm off to Chicago for Thanksgiving. So excited to see my parents and our new house!!
